NINTENDO fans have a long wish list of what they want from the next Nintendo Switch, and backwards compatibility is up there.

Fans want to save money by not only being able to play their games on the original Switch, but also by reusing some of their hardware and accessories on the next console.

The most expensive hardware is the Joy-Con, which was known to have issues with Joy-Con breakage and drift.

This means that many gamers own multiple pairs of Joy-Cons, which they hope to use with Nintendo’s next generation of hardware.

However, the latest accessory announcement has made Switch owners partially give up on that dream.

Nintendo has announced a new Switch charging dock that will allow people to charge their Joy-Con separately from the console.

Gamers have been asking for this for years, as most people can only carry one set of Joy-Cons at a time.

Third-party charging docks are available, but this is the first time Nintendo has released its own product.

As Nintendo prepares to give fans their first look at the Switch 2, it makes sense that the company would want to future-proof existing hardware.

The new charging dock suggests that the Switch 2 won’t be able to charge the original Switch’s Joy-Con, but will still be able to connect to them via Bluetooth.

This means people will likely be able to use them when the Switch is docked, but not when it’s in handheld mode.

The new charging dock also supports rumors that the Switch 2 will use a magnetic system to attach the new Joy-Con, while the existing Joy-Con docks using rails.

This isn’t a confirmation of new systems, but it seems likely we’ll see a new design.
