GAMES are becoming more expensive, not only as software prices increase, but also subscriptions.

Xbox recently announced a price increase for Game Pass, and it’s not the only company that has made price increases.

Even free-to-play games are not immune to price increases, as prices have been rising for in-game purchases.

Recently, Apex Legends announced changes to its battle pass, which would prevent players from receiving free rewards.

Apex Legends has always had a Free and Premium Battle Pass, and the Premium Pass cost 950 Apex Coins.

However, regular players could chain their premium battle passes together, as there were always enough Apex Coins included in the rewards to claim their next pass.

In the recent announcement, developer Respawn stated that the Premium Battle Pass would no longer be obtained using in-game currency.

Instead, players would have to spend real money if they wanted to play with the Premium Battle Pass.

Players were obviously outraged and felt like the developers were forcing them to spend more.

They took to social media to voice their complaints, and it appears Respawn listened to the feedback.

The company released a statement via the official Apex Legends Twitter account saying that players will continue to be able to purchase the Premium Battle Pass using in-game currency.

The statement reads: “You spoke and we listened.

“With the launch of Season 22, we will restore the ability to obtain the Premium Battle Pass for 950 Apex Coins.

“We recognize that we could have handled the changes to the Battle Pass better – that’s on us.”

Companies don’t always listen to player feedback and keep unpopular changes despite backlash.

Players are excited about the decision to revert the changes, considering it a win for Respawn.
