LEGO has teamed up with Nintendo for a new Mario set that has fans obsessed.
The new Lego set is called Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi and characteristics a whopping 1,125 pieces.
It’s a pixelated representation of iconic Nintendo characters Mario and Yoshi.
Specifically, it imagines the duo as they looked in 1990s Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) – and is aimed at adults looking for that dose of nostalgia.
It is often considered one of the greatest video games of all time and was a huge success – selling over 20 million copies worldwide.
“Create nostalgia for the enchanting visuals of a previous generation of Super Mario games with this fun display model from Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi,” explains Lego.
“A fun LEGO Super Mario gift for adults, this Nintendo collectible set features pixelated Mario and Yoshi figures and makes for fun decor in any fan’s home or office.”
It’s not just a static item, though – there’s a surprise feature for fans to enjoy.
Once built, the bricks can come to life thanks to some integrated movement mechanisms.
You can turn the crank to make Yoshi run, and his tongue will appear if you turn the button.
The model stands over 15.5 inches tall and 10 inches wide once built, with a depth of four inches.
And if you have trouble putting the pieces together correctly, you can download Lego Builder for easy-to-follow instructions.
You can also zoom and rotate a 3D digital image of your model as you build it, which can be a big help.
If you want this epic Lego model, you’ll have to pay $129.99 (Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi in Lego for US$129.99 buy here).
And, unsurprisingly, many people want that.
A thread about the product on Reddit’s Lego subreddit gained hundreds of “upvotes.”
One fan said: “Lego, stop making cool sets, my wallet can’t handle it.”
Another wrote: “Absolute instant purchase. This is amazing”.
One Nintendo superfan wrote: “Take my moneythis looks amazing.
And one added: “They killed it with this one.”
Super Mario World: a mega-hit from the nineties
See how Nintendo describes Super Mario World on its official page for the iconic game…
Mario and Luigi’s first adventure on the Super NES took them to a new land with new characters, new abilities and more, becoming an all-time bestseller.
In Super Mario World, the Mario brothers arrive in Dinosaur Land, meet their lovable new companion, Yoshi, and battle Bowser and his minions across dozens of devilishly designed levels packed with secrets.

The evil News is that they will wait a while: pre-orders are now open, but shipping will only begin on October 1, 2024.
