THERE ARE plenty of great Marvel games to play, and one of the best titles of recent years has just dropped to its lowest price yet on PC and other platforms.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is offered for only £10.99 / $11.99 on Steam in a limited-time offer that will last until August 12, 2024.
Similar offers, but with slightly higher prices, are also available for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch players.
In console stores, the game now costs between £13.74 and £14.99, which is still a 75% discount on the list price.
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most recent action-adventure games in recent years, not just in the Marvel series, but in general.
It’s a single-player story where you play as Peter Quill, known as Star-Lord, but you can also issue commands to the other Guardians during combat.
Your companions never stop talking to you, which in many other games quickly becomes annoying, but here it’s always new and fun as the writing is so good.
With a great score of 84 for its Xbox version on review aggregator Metacritic, the game was praised for its humor, story, and meticulously detailed world.
On PC the game is rated 78, while on PS5 it was rated 80, and with a user score of 8.6/10, players rated the game even higher than critics.
While the gameplay and combat aren’t super complicated and in-depth, they’re always fun, and the system that lets you use your teammates’ abilities is very satisfying.
The game won ‘Best Narrative’ at the 2021 Game Awards, as well as ‘Adventure Game of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement in Story’ at the 25th DICE Awards.
The only version of the game that feels inferior is on the Nintendo Switch, as it runs on cloud servers, which are known to cause problems.
If you missed the Epic Games Store free giveaway for Guardians of the Galaxy in January, this is the next best way to get the game.
PlayStation owners who have a PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription can still play it at no additional cost, so if you’re a member you don’t need this deal.
