FINAL Fantasy 16 has just released its second and final DLC known as Rising Tide.

This one focuses on a new Eikon Leviathan and your journey to take him down and save him.

The Rising Tide will give you more FF16 if that's what you're hoping for

The main game had moments that made it feel like a GOTY contender, but over the course of its 60-hour runtime it began to drag.

This new DLC hopes you will remember the base game fondly and offer much more of it.

Just like the Final Fantasy 15 DLC, the DLC for FF16 adds new playable characters and new mechanics to the game.

Just like FF7 Remake Intergrade introduced Yuffie and all her combat abilities, introducing Leviathan means more combat abilities in your arsenal.

Leviathan’s power is water-based, and enemies will have a hard time getting close to you with these powerful ranged attacks.

FF16 fans will enjoy how Rising Tide subtly adds to the game’s lore and, in fact, adds to the series’ story as a whole.

The introduction of the Mysidian village fits perfectly into the story of the main game, with little details that make it feel like a true part of the original world.

We were hoping Jill would have a little more screen time for development, but she only progresses through a small portion of the DLC.

This was one of our main observations in our original review. FF16 has a lot of great characters, but it never gives them room to breathe.

Pacing is another problem we had that The Rising Tide doesn’t solve.

If you didn’t like the main game, there’s nothing about The Rising Tide that will convince you it’s worth playing.

However, it has considerably more content than the first DLC, Echoes of the Fallen, but it’s all part of the same package.

If watching Clive Rosfield defy the gods is your thing, then there’s plenty of that here.
