Google’s upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with a new “Tensor A1” chip that powers “twice the Active Noise Cancellation” (ANC), according to leaked specifications published by @MysteryLupin and spotted by 9to5Google. If true, this will be the first time Google has expanded its in-house Tensor processor from phones to headphones.

The post suggests that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with up to 30 hours of audio playback with the case on (or up to eight hours without), but it’s unclear whether this is with ANC on or off. The original Pixel Buds Pro offers up to 31 hours of listening time with the case and ANC off (or up to 11 hours without).

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also rumored to have conversation detection – a feature Google introduced on the original Pixel Buds Pro last year – along with the ability to “seamlessly connect” to your Pixel Watch, tablet and phone.

This new leak comes just one day before Google reveals the Pixel Buds Pro 2, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. So far, leaked images have shown a colorful lineup of Pixel Buds Pro 2 with smaller wingtips reminiscent of the first Pixel Buds, as well as an updated charging case that appears to come with a speaker.
