Google’s futuristic video conferencing technology will soon become a reality. In an update on mondayGoogle shared that it is working on integrating Project Starline with common video conferencing setups like Google Meet and Zoom.
But Google later built the technology into what looked like a large TV with a camera system mounted on top, rather than on an entire stand, making it more practical for offices and conference rooms.
Now Google says it’s finally taking Project Starline “out of the lab” and bringing it to the workplace. It is teaming up with HP to commercialize the product. “We are proud to partner with Google to bring this technology to market, harnessing the power of AI to shape the future of collaboration,” said Alex Cho, president of personal systems at HP, in a statement.
