If you’ve been waiting to see the Pixel 9, Pixel Watch 3, or other new hardware from Google, August 13th could be a big day for you, because look what just arrived in our inboxes:

You’re invited to an in-person Made by Google event, where we’ll showcase the best of Google’s AI, Android software, and Pixel device portfolio.

The talk will take place at 10am PT / 1pm ET, and you can be sure we’ll be there to see what’s new. It will come at the start of last year’s Made by Google showcase, where Google first revealed the Pixel 8 phones, the Pixel Watch 2, and AI improvements to Google Assistant.

Pushing the date back means there’s less time for pre-event leaks, which has typically been a problem for the Pixel lineup. Maybe this is a hedge against that, maybe Google is too far ahead in 2024, or maybe we won’t see anything we expect, and this is all about a new Pixel Fold or Pixel Tablet?
