But the company also routinely releases new software to address any newly discovered flaws or stability issues.

Unfortunately, there are no fancy new features with this update – although there are rumors that some may be coming soon.

Instead, the August security update comes with a total of 50 fixes.

The tech giant doesn’t go into many details, but states in software notes that “the device is protected with enhanced security.”

When it comes to stability and reliability, Samsung claims that “device behavior has been improved.”

The first device to receive the update is the Galaxy M55.

According to SamMobileit was released first for the international variant of the M55, which has the model number SM-M556B.

INCREASE FAST SHARING

Elsewhere, Samsung has quietly updated one of its popular features used to send photos and videos to friends.

Quick Share is the company’s own file-sharing tool that not only works between nearby phones but also uploads them to the web.

Until now, you were limited to 5 GB per day for free, but users have noticed that the limit has been doubled to 10 GB, allowing people to send much larger files than before.

This is especially useful for longer, high-quality videos.

Quick Share for files locally via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct requires both devices to be Galaxy.

But one of the big advantages of Quick Share is that the recipient of files shared online via a link doesn’t need to have a Galaxy phone to download them.
