Rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 continue to emerge rapidly ahead of the handset’s highly anticipated launch next month.
But amid all the online chatter, Apple fans are already talking about next year’s iPhone models, which could include a new budget version.
We have heard whispers of five colors, said to be white, black, blue, green and pink.
And there has been talk of a bigger battery to appease those who also worry about the iPhone’s power.
The only thing certain for now is that Apple Intelligence, the company’s new AI tool built with ChatGPT infused, will launch on the iPhone 16 at some point.
But a new report from Bloomberg Apple expert Mark Gurman points to a few more possible iPhone 16 upgrades on our way.
And it looks like a new button could be on the horizon.
It is claimed that there may be a new camera control button on the right edge of the iPhone.
As for colors, Gurman says the titanium blue hue may be ditched, but there could be a new rose gold option.
Elsewhere, he states that screen size is expected to increase.

However, it’s unclear whether the boost will reach all models or just the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max versions.
Apple traditionally holds its iPhone launch events every year in September, so we may not have to wait long for confirmation.
IPHONE IF?
Among all the fuss about the iPhone 16, Apple fans are also looking ahead to 2025 following claims that Apple is working on a new iPhone SE.
The iPhone SE is the company’s cheapest smartphone lineup, which cuts back on some of the powerful features like processors and cameras.
The last time we saw an iPhone SE released was in 2022, which was the first generation.
It launched from £419/$429, considerably less than flagship iPhones.
Gurman claims that a new iPhone SE could arrive in early 2025 – and could also come with Apple’s intelligence features.
And it could also have a “sharper” OLED screen.
iPhone Tricks to Try Today
Here are some of the best…
- Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the spacebar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, allowing you to move words and sentences more easily
- Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapping squares in the bottom right corner and press close all tabs
- Delete many photos quickly – Long press a photo and drag your finger diagonally across Photos to select multiple images at once and click delete
- Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of the home screen (or swipe left to right on an iPhone X or later model), tap the bar and enter a currency (like $200) and it will automatically convert to your local currency
- Check if you need a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and check the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally, a battery is considered exhausted when its capacity is reduced to 80%. If it’s below, you can buy a battery change from Apple
- Move apps faster – Hold an app until it starts to jiggle, then (while holding) tap other apps, making them stack so you can move them more easily
