A POPULAR Google feature – dubbed the “most useful of all” – has just arrived on two cheaper Samsung Galaxy models.

Samsung adopted Google’s feature for its newest Galaxy S24 devices in January and has since been rolling it out to more devices.

Circle to Search, which was only revealed earlier this year, has now rolled out to select Galaxy A series phones and tablets:

  • Galaxy A55 5G
  • Galaxy A35 5G
  • Galaxy Tab S9FE
  • Galaxy Tab S9 FE+

“Circle to Search has quickly become a fan favorite since the launch of the Galaxy S24 series,” Samsung wrote in a blog post announcing the news.

For those unfamiliar with the feature, Circle to Search allows Android users to start a Google search by simply circling something on the screen.

“When Circle to Search is enabled, users can simply circle, highlight, or tap anywhere on the screen to select the text, image, or video they want to search,” according to Samsung.

Android owners are big fans of it.

“Circle to Search is the most useful feature ever on a phone,” said a Google Pixel user he wrote on Reddit.

“I use it so many times a day that it has become a habit!

“The other day I was reading a book and there was a word that I didn’t understand, so I tried to look around… (I’m ashamed…).”

Another responded, saying, “I agree, I love this feature. I can translate and copy everything from anywhere right away.”

A third person added: “Circle for searching and scheduling messages is something I use often, absolutely great quality of life stuff.”

The feature is available on dozens of Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets.

  4. For more precision, use two fingers to zoom or pan around the screen before swiping.
  5. When you’re done and want to return to the app’s original context, swipe down, use the back gesture, or tap X in the upper left corner.

In a statement, Samsung executive TM Roh said: “These updates open up new possibilities for the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE and reinforce our commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to more Galaxy users.

“We are committed to bringing the best AI technology to a wider audience, empowering users with the choice to work more efficiently, create more freely, and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices.”
