APPLE fans have only just discovered a cool feature on their iPhones that will keep you from running out of battery.

But the “life-changing” charging hack only works if you have another iPhone user by your side.

It can be frustrating when your phone dies at a crucial moment and there is no place to plug in the charger.

But if you have a friend who also owns an iPhone by your side, you might be in luck.

The iPhone 15 can double as a portable charger with this smart charging function.

You can charge other Apple devices, such as other models of iPhone, Airpods and Apple Watch using your mobile device.

Apple’s website explains that if both devices have a USB-C connector, you can connect them and share your battery.

If there are two iPhones, the one with the higher battery level will charge the other.

Once connected, the iPhone will automatically know which phone has a lower battery percentage and will turn it on while it loses charge.

And the option isn’t just limited to the iPhone 15, as you can also boost the battery of older models.

You only need to have a USB-C cable for lighting, as the iPhone 15 had to swap out the Apple-exclusive cable.

An online user shared that his iPhone 15 lost nine percent of its battery to increase the iPhone 11’s performance from 10 to 32 percent.

Unfortunately, the feature is not available on older iPhones and they cannot charge each other or the iPhone 15.

The charging hack was considered a new-age romantic gesture as it allows you to show another iPhone user that you “really love” them.

One person wrote on Twitter: “This is how you show someone you really love them.”

Another said: “This is the future.”

A third person wrote: “This might be helpful.”

But others weren’t convinced and remained skeptical about the feature’s impact on the phone’s battery life.

One person said: “I’m not sure I want to charge other people’s phones, I’m saving my battery.”

Another wrote: “Yeah fine but you’re frying your phone.”

“This will harm battery life,” another person added.

A tech genius has shared a simple trick that can increase your iPhone’s battery life in just ten seconds.

Another tech guru pointed out all the things that can unexpectedly drain your iPhone’s battery.

With a few simple changes to your settings, you can save some energy.

Someone pointed out the sneaky background feature that could be draining everything without you knowing!

Apple also revealed a “fast charging” trick that works on millions of iPhones, but won’t be successful if it’s too cold.

Tips to save battery

There are some other things you can do when your device is low on power, such as turning on low power mode.

This useful iPhone tool helps extend battery life when your device is running out of power.

To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings, Battery, and turn on Low Power Mode.

Another setting you can adjust that causes battery drain is screen brightness.

Some experts suggest that keeping your screen brightness between 65% and 70% can save a lot of battery life.

However, you should keep the brightness as low as your eyes can comfortably handle.

To change brightness levels, simply swipe down from the top of the home screen.

Once you do this, you will see the brightness slider – adjust it as you wish.
