The comments were posted on the popular forum Reddit r/samsung.

It has over 342,000 members who post Samsung tips and tricks as well as discuss the latest features and gadgets.

“We lost the headphone jack, the SD card, we will soon lose the SIM card, will we lose the port?” one Redditor asked.

The Samsung fan expressed concern that the phones’ charging port could be the next thing to go.

“I was fine without a headphone jack, there were adapters and they even increased the sound a little.

‘Losing the SD card was the worst decision for Samsung as there is no replacement for it; Cloud storage is extremely slow, expensive, uses the Internet, and presents a lot of privacy issues, especially with work accounts, and I’m not going to walk around with an SSD plugged into my phone to have my older photos at hand.

“With the rise of And yes, it’s clear that we’ll soon be losing our SIM card too, which will suck for changing phones, traveling or using an older Nokia.”

‘Samsung just integrated quick share with near share so they “settled” for wired cable transfer and with all the hype and improvements in wireless charging (even cars have them now) we’ll soon lose completely all ports on our phones?” wrote the Redditor.

This post has been marked as a rumor as there was no mention from Samsung that the charging port would be removed in favor of a wireless charging device.

“Wireless charging is still not as good as wired charging. The difference is very big”, wrote one of them.

“I wouldn’t mind losing the SD card option if Samsung put an equal amount of memory…” said another.

“Apple will probably be the first to remove things from phones before everyone else follows,” wrote another.

“I want my headphone jack and SD card slot back. I know they don’t care, but I care and I will never stop saying that,” protested one user.
