ANDROID owners are finding one of Google’s newest features “super annoying” due to claims that it is easily triggered by accident.
The company’s new Circle to Search tool was first introduced on the Samsung Galaxy S24 earlier this year.
It allows users to search for virtually any visual thing they see on the screen by drawing a circle with their finger.
But some have complained that the feature is “super annoying” as it is very trigger-happy, appearing when they didn’t ask for it.
I disabled mine – it completely pissed me off

To activate Circle to Search, all you have to do is press and hold the navigation bar or home button.
“I have it turning on frequently when I try to close an app,” one user wrote.
“Very frustrating.”
Another said: “I deactivated mine – it completely irritated me.
“All I had to do was tap the bottom of the screen anywhere on the bottom of the screen and it appeared.”
A third wrote: “I accidentally activated it all the time. When I want to activate it, it takes a long time.”

Not everyone felt the same – others say Circle to Search works smoothly.
“For me, it works perfectly. I never triggered it by performing another action,” another user responded.
But Google has since revealed that it is working to improve the feature.
“We still have more to go, and we’re working hard to make sure this triggers when you want it… doesn’t trigger it when you don’t want it,” Google product manager Erin Lynch said on Made by. Google Podcast.
