It’s normal to experience turbulence on board a flight – and although in most cases it’s not dangerous, travelers can still feel queasy and queasy if they choose the wrong seats.

Speaking with Florida Oceanthe expert revealed that turbulence is always greater at the back of the plane – and passengers should avoid sitting there to minimize the terrible experience.

She explained: “Turbulence is always worse at the back of the plane as the tail can bounce up and down.”

The flight attendant also shared the best place to sit on the flight if you want a quieter experience.

“If you want a calmer ride, the best place to sit is in the middle of the cabin, close to the wings,” he revealed.

“I would also always choose an aisle seat. This not only prevents any height-induced anxiety, but also makes it much easier for you to move around the plane, relieving feelings of claustrophobia.”

“And don’t forget to make the most of the control you have in an airplane. Cold air can reduce the risk of motion sickness, so we always suggest keeping the ventilation above the seat on.

The expert said that passengers who suffer from nausea and claustrophobia should try to distract themselves using the flight’s entertainment systems.

“It’s also a good idea to stay distracted. If watching TV aggravates your motion sickness, most in-flight entertainment systems will have a wide variety of audio programs to listen to, which are best suited for those who experience motion sickness,” she added.

Meanwhile, another expert has warned why you should never walk on a plane if you’re sick – and shared seven useful tips to cure motion sickness.

Feeling unwell on a plane is never an ideal situation – but with limited resources and tight space, it becomes even more difficult to remedy.

Dr. Danielle Qing, an internal medicine specialist at Mount Sinai, said passengers should never walk on a plane or stand if they are feeling unwell.

Dr. Qing advised travelers to remain seated as this helps keep the center of gravity low.

“Keep your head down and your eyes closed. Having your center of gravity a little lower can help you feel less dizzy,” she explained.

It is also recommended to avoid looking at screens – try to fall asleep instead.

If you have trouble sleeping, opt for audiobooks or podcasts to replace visual entertainment.

Doctors also recommend eating a little food to get rid of the nausea.

When feeling unwell, food may be the last thing you want – but in some cases, it can actually help.

A small amount of bland food can eliminate some of the nausea, experts say.

If you experience vomiting or diarrhea, opt for the BRAT diet – bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.

But even a little bit of crackers or bread can go a long way in curing nausea.
