I traveled to America’s most hidden gem and dipped my toes into its vortex of crackling energy – it was like magic

A SPIRITUAL energy is said to emanate from the red rocks of a desert town, and a writer and outdoorsman stumbled upon one of the magical vortex sites during a recent hike.

Sedona, Arizona is said to be a center of spiritual vortices, an invisible but perceptible energy often associated with geographic locations and large red rock formations.

Visit Sedona describe These energy balls are “conducive to healing, medication, and self-exploration,” claiming that visitors often feel inspired or uplifted after encountering one.

While the little town deserts was dubbed The “most popular hidden gem” in the U.S. in 2023, the vortices have made Sedona a popular tourist attraction among those who are part of the New Age movement, astrologers, and other spiritually inclined individuals seeking to feel the “crackling” energy.

However, it’s not always easy to find one of these energy vortices, according to Will Brendza, a writer and outdoorsman who lives in Colorado.

In March, Brendza revealed he had traveled to the region on a work trip with Columbia Sportswear and did not expect to encounter any spiritual energy.

“I didn’t expect to learn much about the spiritual realm in this adventure,” wrote Brendza.

“The Vortex had eluded me before and I expected it to happen again – especially on a work trip. However, I was in for a surprise.”

He explained that during a hike through the stunning red rock landscape of Sedona, he did not witness “spiraling interdimensional spiritual spins.”

However, he claimed he may have had an epiphany thanks to the “crackling energy” of a vortex.

Brendza went on to say that during the hike, the guide encouraged the group to use nature as a “recipe” and figure out exactly what they wanted to get out of it.

The guide reportedly told hikers that they should “go somewhere high to get a clear perspective” when seeking answers about relationships, thinking about family and friends, or even when struggling with memories or something difficult that happened years before.

“The idea is to physically do what your mind is trying to achieve,” Brendza wrote.

“Nature can be used medicinally, he explained, to treat illnesses of the body – but also of the heart, mind and soul.”

Brendza admitted that he may have felt some energy at that moment when the guide was speaking.

“To be fair, at that moment maybe I felt something,” he said.

“And maybe you could call it the ‘Vortex’ of Sedona. I would probably call it resonance, though. ‘Nature’s Prescription’ sounded good. It touched on something that I experienced and wasn’t able to vocalize coherently.

The more you spend looking, the more you will discern in Sedona Rock. And perhaps, the more you will discern about yourself.

Along the Sedona hike, Brendza also wrote that she now understood why the towering cliffs, iconic rock formations, and lush landscape could act as a church for some vortex seekers.

“When you are surrounded by towering petrified sand dunes, Entrada sandstone pillars and slippery rocks that seem to melt before your eyes, the world’s largest man-made temples pale in comparison,” he said.

“Add some crackling Vortex energy to a place like this and who would need to go indoors to worship?”

How people encounter an energy vortex or experience the red socks in Sedona is a very individual experience, Brendza emphasized.

During the visit, the writer said he was able to distinguish animal shapes, food, plates, bowls and human figures in the iconic formations.

But Brendza encouraged others to travel into the canyons to experience the wonders themselves.

“The longer you spend looking, the more you will discern in the Sedona rock,” he said.

“And perhaps, the more you will discern about yourself.”
