DISNEY World left park-goers excited by revealing the opening date of the new Magic Kingdom ride.
The amusement park divided opinion when it announced that its famous Splash Mountain ride was being redesigned.
However, adventurers now eagerly await the arrival of Tiana’s Bayou adventure.
Splash Mountain opened in 1989.
The Princess and the Frog themed ride will launch at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on June 28, 2024.
Disneyland Park in California will also open a version of the ride later in the year.

According to Disney parksthe New Orleans-inspired “musical adventure” will feature original, familiar songs.
Five-time Grammy winner PJ Morton is among the artists contributing to the soundtrack.
“Can you believe we are ‘almost there’ and closer than ever to opening Tiana’s Bayou Adventure this summer here at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort?” Sarah Viles, vice president of Magic Kingdom, said.
“With Mardi Gras season underway and construction milestones passing, our cast members and I are so excited to see Tiana’s magic come to life like never before.”
The amusement ride will feature dozens of audio animatronics alongside its “thrilling” 50-foot drop.
New friends, including an otter, a rabbit, and a raccoon, join Princess Tiana on her journey across the bayou.
Annual Passholders, Florida-based Cast Members and eligible Disney Vacation Club members will have viewing opportunities prior to the ride opening.
More than 24,000 people watched a video at official Disney Parks YouTube channel announcing the opening date.
Fans were initially disappointed when it was revealed that Splash Mountain would be closing permanently.
The ride based on the controversial 1946 Disney film Song of The South opened at Disneyland in 1989.
However, park-goers confessed they are now looking forward to the revamped log flume ride.
How tall do you need to be to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?
According to Disney worldthe attraction is suitable for children, teenagers and adults 102 cm and over.
“It was good to have Splash Mountain, all those good memories! But Tiana’s adventure in the Bayou looks incredibly fun!!!” one person commented.
“June 28, 2024, I’m marking my calendar now,” said another.
“I’m so tired of people complaining,” a third added.
“Splash Mountain was one of my favorite rides of all time, but from what we’ve seen so far, Tiana looks really promising.
“The animatronics, the music, the world, etc. I’m super excited about this.
“I hope they comply.”
