A DREAM job is available for anyone who loves taking a dip in the water.

A company is hiring a “pool director” to swim in all 50 US states this summer, earning six figures.

Swimminga vacation rental service, is offering $100,000 a year for the position, which is the first of its kind for the company.

“As someone who is passionate about pools, your main job will be to travel, raid and review as many pools as possible in all 50 states,” said the job description read.

The pool director will also be required to create content along the way.

The position is described as Swimply’s “leading expert and voice on finding the best water escapes nestled in America’s backyards.”

WHO QUALIFIES?

“If you enjoy swimming, social media and sunbathing on Tuesday afternoons, this seasonal position is a great dive into your dream career,” Swimply said in a press release.

The pool director can expect to “travel and review pools in all 50 states and be paid $100,000 to do so.”

Compensation starts with a base salary of $50,000, to cover work-related expenses such as travel.

The remaining half of the payment is determined “in performance bonuses based on content engagement and number of pools visited during the period.”

WHAT DO I DO?

Swimply laid out expectations for what they call a “dream job.”

In addition to taking the plunge in all 50 states, the pool director will also make media appearances representing the company.

The employee is also expected to create their own media.

“Produce engaging social media content including Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube vlogs,” said Swimply.

“[Social media content] that show the journey to becoming the preeminent expert on America’s best pools, in real time.”

The pool director is also expected to use his experience to create a guide for tourists.

“Be very successful in promoting the best places to cool off this summer through ‘best of’ lists and guides that highlight the most eclectic, quirky and epic pools across the country,” they said.

The lucky candidate may also get paid to party.

“Host pool parties,” Swimply said. “While you’re on the road, host pool parties in cities across the country.”

Ultimately, vacation experts just ask that the pool director have fun.

“We’re calling this a dream job for a reason,” they said. “The most important thing is to enjoy the best that Swimply has to offer and share the fun and adventure with your community.”

HOW TO APPLY

The sign-up process takes place on social media, with Swimply CEO Derek Callow handpicking the best option.

“To sign up, hopeful swimmers are invited to reserve a Swimply pool near them and create a video CV showing how they would highlight all the pools they would try during their summer adventure,” they said.

“Entries will be accepted on TikTok or Instagram Reels and must tag @swimply and use the hashtag #SwimplyDreamJob.

“Top candidates will be invited for an interview with Swimply’s CEO and to complete a ‘Swim Screen Test’.”

Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2024.

“Our first Pool Director will bring his skills together to help us discover and share America’s best backyard water retreats,” said Callow.

“This is more than a dream job, it’s a summer-long pool party. If you’re passionate about pools and have a bit of charisma, we’re looking for you to help spread the Swimply sun.

“Come in – the water’s fine.”
