Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland, has unveiled its latest immersive park experience: SteamTown: Where the Past Meets the Future.

The theme park is scheduled to open in June and there is already news for its arrival.

STORY TIME

Visitors will be led by a man named Professor Screamore and taken on a tour of the new land surrounding the rich history of a western city.

It will feature exclusive updates prepared by the professor himself, and each area will be influenced by the notable figure.

The story goes that the town of Coyote Creek was purchased in secret by Professor Screamore.

SteamTown is part of our team’s ambitious multi-year plan to invest in guest experience and park improvements.

Ramar Vaughan

He “invited” people to SteamTown to “revel in the odysseys, feel the force of evolution, and twist their minds into the unexpected,” according to Six Flags website.

“SteamTown is part of our team’s ambitious multi-year plan to invest in guest experience and park improvements,” said Six Flags America General Manager Ramar Vaughan.

After many years of work, the professor is finally ready to share his creations with the world, so SteamTown will have several exciting attractions.

ROUGH RIDES

“We are excited about our collaboration with Professor Screamore and excited to share our most detailed park to date,” said Vaughan.

Located in the center of his town is the new SteamWhirler, which is the professor’s award-winning invention.

It sends passengers into the air with four rotating arms that are synchronized to get you out of your seat at random times.

Visitors can also travel back in time on a prehistoric adventure at QuantumCanyon Rapids.

After years of research, the professor “pioneered the art of time travel” and visitors will be transported back more than 200 million years on rafts for a ride through rapids.

ElectroDerby is an electrical-themed attraction where the professor uses “modern technology” to have riders power up “state-of-the-art” buggies before bumping into and dodging other riders.

Guests can also “grow wings” and learn to fly on the SkyWinder roller coaster.

They board two trains with updated restrictions and fly at 50 miles per hour when they reach the top.

DINNER AND DETAILS

Fun rides aren’t all that’s coming to SteamTown.

Visitors also have the option of drinking at Fillament’s SteamPub, which has a western feel with a modern twist.

Being the center of the city’s social scene, it’s hard to miss and is said to have the charm of a traditional salon.

Party guests will also be able to greet Professor Screamore himself through the narrative of SteamTown with SteamHeist, a “spectacular stunt show.”

It is expected to “dazzle fans with Professor Screamore’s bravery, tenacity and a little bit of weirdness.”

The program gives a detailed look at how he developed SteamTown.
