Receiving multiple itchy bug bites while on vacation can put a damper on anyone’s mood.

“Bug Bite Thing” is a suction device that can effectively remove insect saliva or venom from under the skin to prevent itching, according to the online retailer.

It can be used for mosquito, bee, wasp, ant and other insect bites or stings that leave an irritating substance, they said.

Buyers left glowing reviews for the product on Amazon, with more than half giving it five stars.

One said: “This is a very useful little gadget.

“I used it for moss bites and it really relieved the itching.”

“I used it on a fresh snack and one that was a few days old and it worked perfectly on both,” added another shopper.

“No itching, just a little redness as the bite heals.”

While a third commented: “I love it, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought.”

The gadget claims to remove the pain, swelling and tingling caused by an insect bite

It uses no additional creams or chemicals and recommends users apply it immediately after being bitten.

Users can flip the device to reveal a smaller side to treat harder-to-reach areas such as fingers or toes.

Travelers should wash the removable tip on the other side between uses to get the most out of the gadget.

However, avoid getting the rest of the device wet to avoid losing the suction mechanism.

The popular product claimed it could also be used to remove splinters, thorns or bee tips.

“Bug Bite Things” urged users not to apply the suction device to the face or neck, as there is a greater risk of leaving marks on these sensitive areas.

Not everyone who purchased the gadget was impressed with the item.

“Unfortunately they didn’t work, a very bad item, I advise you not to waste your money,” wrote one dissatisfied customer.

Another added: “Be careful when using this as it can cause a lot of bruising (like a hickey!) if you use it for more than 5 seconds.

“Plus, it leaves a big bruise for a long time afterwards.

“I’m not impressed and I actually think it’s very dangerous.”

It comes after a “magic device” received widespread praise for putting an end to one of the few downsides of going on holiday.

And scientists have revealed why some people are mosquito magnets.

This device is intended to alleviate the symptoms of someone who has been stung by applying heat to the affected area.

Users heat the device and place it on the bite for a few seconds.

Because it uses heat to ease the pain of bites, it is also chemical-free, meaning it shouldn’t irritate your skin.

It has two different settings and is suitable for children and adults.

It also comes with separate settings for sensitive skin and regular users.
