Frontier Airlines is now the cheapest airline in the United States.
The discovery came as part a study by AirAdvisor on different US-based airlines.
Frontier beat Spirit and Hawaiian Airlines, both known for their low prices.
However, passengers may encounter other expenses in terms of comfort on the flight.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Other study revealed to Thrillest broke where other airlines have an advantage over Frontier.
Two popular airlines had the same disadvantage when it came to passenger comfort.
Both Frontier and Spirit were considered to have the least legroom for U.S. airlines.
Economy travel options only offered a measly 28 inches of legroom.
The difference between larger airlines, like United, which offer barely 30 inches of legroom in their economy cabins.
FLY HIGH ON A BUDGET
Those looking to save some money when booking a vacation need not worry.
Other airlines with cheap deals offer even more legroom than Frontier.
JetBlue came in first place according to the same study, with an average of 32.3 inches of legroom.
Southwest Airlines, another budget travel option, offers 31.8 inches of legroom.
Alaska and Delta airlines offer 31 inches in their economy cabins.
United and American airlines have just over 30 inches of legroom.
SAFE TRAVEL
The lack of legroom isn’t the only thing irritating Frontier customers.
Their Instagram page is inundated with comments about delayed flights and thwarted travel plans.
“We have had two gate changes and two boardings and disembarks of two planes so far,” wrote the passenger.
“We’re still at the Philadelphia airport on our 14th wedding anniversary.
“You get what you pay for. It’s cheap and you don’t get to your destination.”
