HAVING FUN shouldn’t cost much, and with the most affordable theme park in the country, you don’t have to compromise.
Indiana’s Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari offers visitors a variety of record-breaking roller coasters, water rides, pools, shows and even free drinks.
The theme park was voted the most accessible in the country in a study by the rental company HomeToGo.
The study analyzed prices and, more importantly, value at 42 theme parks in 22 states to determine where visitors can get the most bang for their buck.
“Every summer, families and friends gather at theme parks across the country to experience thrilling rides and lively entertainment,” said HomeToGo spokesperson and travel expert Eleanor Moody.
“[According to] In HomeToGo’s 2024 U.S. Summer Travel Survey, nearly a third of U.S. travelers indicated they prioritize cost when selecting destinations.
“With this in mind, our Theme Park Index was designed to help travelers plan trips that make the most of their budget, ensuring they get the most thrills for their money.”
Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s Mammoth Water Coaster, certified by the Guinness World Record, is the longest water coaster in the world at 1/3 of a mile.
The tour also won Amusement Today’s World’s Best Water Tour in 2023.
The roller coaster takes riders up seven floors, from the highest point to the lowest, and begins with a climb up a hill – the first of many on the ride.
For a more family-friendly roller coaster, guests can try Good Gravy! Family Coaster is a 1,500-foot long ride that tops out at 37 miles per hour.
Vacationers can also take part in the park’s selection of special events, including Holidays in the Sky and Light the Night.
Five hundred drones fill the night sky with lights and fireworks, illuminating the dark screen.
Best of all, the public can vote on the final lineup of the program.
The summer event will last from June 22nd to August 4th.
Hungry passengers will also have food and beverage options to choose from, from traditional theme park treats like pretzels, burgers, pizza, ICEEs and chicken tenders, to holiday offerings located at Plymouth Rock Cafe and Santa’s Merry Marketplace.

All Splashin’ Safari participants are also entitled to freebies including free parking, unlimited soft drinks (plus refills) and sunscreen.
Theme park tickets also come with a worry-free time guarantee.
“Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari tours don’t just stop because of rain, but sometimes bad weather causes us to interrupt the fun. But your vacation isn’t over yet!” the website said.

Parents can bring their preschoolers to the park for freeas those born in 2019 and 2020 automatically gain free entry for the entire season.
Visitors who plan ahead can also save $15 on tickets by booking at least one day in advance. Tickets start at $59.99.
