A man compared the monthly cost of living at a resort in Mexico and his apartment in Seattle.

In your viral videoTikTok user Ben (@Ivebentraveling) detailed the costs of his month in Mexico.
“Have we ever considered that it is actually cheaper to live in an all-inclusive resort than to live in the apartments we currently occupy?” he asked his followers.
Ben explained that his average monthly spending in Seattle is $4,100.
With that number in mind, he began researching all-inclusive resorts in Mexico to carry out his experiment.
“There’s a chance I can live an all-inclusive lifestyle somewhere for about the same cost as all my monthly expenses and that’s crazy to me,” he said when making his selection.
Ben spent 27 nights at a seaside resort, carefully recording all of his spending habits while he was there.
Working remotely, the social media user tried to maintain his normal routine for a more accurate comparison.
This included having an afternoon coffee and snack, as well as maintaining her regular gym routine.
He took his viewers as he worked in various areas of the resort, including his room, the cafe, the pool and the beach.
Although Ben’s stay cost him $4,900, he pointed out how this could potentially equate to the $4,100 he spends at home.
The TikToker listed some of the amenities available to him as a resort guest that he found to be worth the $800 difference.
Some of the “bonuses” Ben enjoyed were shows and events, pools and beach, housekeeper, chef, room service, maintenance man, and planned experiences.
The social media user pointed out that these included features would cost him significantly more in Seattle.
“Think about how valuable this is to you, never having to do this for yourself again,” he said.
However, Ben had some complaints about spending a month living at a resort.
DISADVANTAGES
In a day-to-day vlog, he revealed that extreme temperatures made everyday life difficult.
Given the hot weather, he opted to order room service rather than leave his room.
“It was hot! According to locals, it was the first heat wave they’d had in 77 years – and being from Seattle, I’m not used to the heat/humidity overlaps,” he explained.
Ben also highlighted that boredom is likely to strike most people who are confined to a resort for an extended period of time.
Although the tourist destination offered a variety of shows and activities, Ben explained that he missed city life.
Despite not being sold on the long-term lifestyle, he encouraged his followers to try living in an all-inclusive resort.
