A SAVVY woman has revealed a clever “foolproof flat-packing” suitcase hack that avoids rolling up clothes and is perfect for keeping wrinkles at bay.
She shared her wise methods with travelers online and revolutionized the holiday packaging process.
L. Daniela Alvarez wrote about how her initial method left her frustrated, as she would open her suitcase and discover that her clothes looked worn out.
But then she started folding the clothes as flat as possible.
Daniela said: “It forced me to figure out how to fit three days of clothes into a backpack.”
She continued: “By simply folding t-shirts and pants in half and spreading out all the underwear, I could stack everything neatly without adding the bulk of rolled clothes.
“Best of all, I didn’t have hard pieces of rolled-up clothing embedded in my back and sides. Since this method worked perfectly in a backpack, I was confident I would have success with it in a suitcase.
“It’s definitely become my foolproof method for organizing my clothes and minimizing wrinkles.“
It turns out a semi-retired couple have revealed how they saved thousands of pounds on holiday with a little-known travel hack – and anyone can do it.
Jane MacDonald, 65, and her husband John, 68, have traveled to dozens of locations around the world without paying a penny for accommodation.
This is because they are exchanging houses with other families instead of paying for a hotel or Airbnb.
Since signing up to house exchange site HomeExchange in 2017, the couple have stayed in 33 homes abroad and across the UK for free.
Sometimes they moved houses at the same time as other families, while in other circumstances they stayed with their hosts as guests.
Former self-employed tourism worker Jane estimates she has saved thousands of pounds on accommodation around the world.
And a mum has revealed her clever trick that allows her to pack a lot more stuff when traveling with her kids.
Traveling with children can be very stressful, with so many things to fit into the strict baggage allowance.
However, there are ingenious ways that parents can bring more than they think they are capable of.
One way is through the clever use of a car seat, which many people need to take with them when they travel.
Mom and Tiktoker Autumn Grace (@honestlyautumn) showed how she uses the seat to store extra goods, including a bunch of extra diapers when she goes out with her kids.
The video it showed her filling the seat with items before covering it in her protective case.
