Many Americans across the country are looking forward to the Fourth of July spectacle in the sky.

Here are the best cities to watch unforgettable fireworks that light up the night with an unconventional choice that will please your taste buds.

NEW ORLEANS, LUISIANA

The city’s Go 4th on the River fireworks special pays homage to New Orleans’ main port and musical history.

The Go 4th on the River fireworks show will begin at 9pm on July 4th at the New Orleans Riverfront.

The city will bring firefighter General Roy S. Kelley to its famous fireworks show, shooting red, white and blue sparks from its deck.

Visitors can get closer to the action with a front-row seat on the iconic Steamboat NATCHEZ!

The boat tour offers a pre-boarding concert featuring patriotic classics like God Bless America.

The cruise will take guests down the mighty Mississippi with live jazz performances from the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland.

BAR HARBOR, MAINE

Bar Harbor’s festivities were named the #1 Fourth of July celebration in America by the Today Show.

To start the day, the Bar Harbor Rotary Club will host its traditional Pancake Breakfast at Bar Harbor Athletic Field on Park Street, featuring fresh blueberry pancakes, sandwiches and sides.

In the afternoon, Bar Harbor residents show their patriotism with a noisy parade that winds through downtown Bar Harbor.

The Bar Harbor Rotary Club will also offer delicious lunch options to keep visitors fueled for the rest of the day.

Everyone can see the fireworks going off – but you’ll have 20/20 vision if you spot three Catherine wheels in 12 seconds

At Town Pier, visitors and locals can enjoy a series of free concerts leading up to the fireworks with family-friendly music to dance to and listen to.

Don’t forget to sit waterfront to enjoy the spectacular fireworks display in downtown Bar Harbor.

There will be performances by The Smith Collaboration, Cryin’ Out Loud and The Crown Vics.

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is one of the country’s premier Independence Day celebrations.

For nearly five decades, the celebration has drawn live audiences of more than 300,000 people and reached broadcast audiences of more than one million.

With special guests The Mavericks and Kelli O’Hara, favorites from the Boston Pops, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and the Mugar family fireworks over the Charles River, the show is always a success.

The event takes place along the Charles River at the DCR Hatch Shell.

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI

St. Louis kicks off the holiday with the America’s Birthday Parade, which leaves at 10 a.m. from Market Street and ends at the Gateway Arch.

It also offers shows under the arch and an air show featuring a pilot from the movie Top Gun: Maverick.

The free event includes food and drink vendors and a series of family-friendly activities.

But it is known for its fireworks show – set against the dramatic backdrop of the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River.

WASHINGTON DC

There aren’t many more appropriate places to celebrate the nation’s independence than in its capital.

Deals in Washington DC a multitude of panoramic viewing options so that visitors can make their choice.

A Fourth Capitolthe star-studded show that always precedes the epic fireworks show on the National Mall, airs on PBS and can also be watched in person.

Later in the day, Key West will hold its world-famous Key Lime Pie Eating Championship at the Southernmost Beach Café.

The Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show is lit up live on the Hudson River.

The fireworks show is a free public event that lasts 25 minutes.

Visitors can view the fireworks launch from barges parked along the Hudson River from approximately W. 14th St. to W. 34th St. in Manhattan.

Although there are several observation points, it is recommended that visitors arrive early if they want a good spot.
