TRAVEL experts say the best color to wear when you travel by plane is red, as it means you’ll have a more pleasant flight.

While most people think about wearing comfortable clothes for their flight, few consider what color they should wear.

Wearing red can make a trip much more enjoyable, according to travel blog Airplane tipswhich shares important tips on how to fly.

Red is a powerful, stimulating color that can give you an advantage when going through security and catch the attention of flight attendants, according to research.

The color red stands out among other shades, which could mean you will receive preferential treatment on board.

As red stands out, the person wearing the color will be more noticeable and memorable to airline employees.

A study was conducted by researchers at the University of Potsdam in Germany, together with collaborators in the US and Munich.

Women who used reading were considered more attractive than women who didn’t, the survey found.

Red is not only good because it is attractive, but it can also mean the difference between winning and losing.

Researchers at Durham University discovered that sports teams that wore red kits were more likely to win than those who did not.

Since red is easily noticeable, it is associated with dominance and power.

Therefore, passengers may want to wear something fashionable in red to be more noticed and ensure that you are noticed by the plane crew.

Influencer sparks outrage over in-flight bathroom routine

Airplane Tips writes: “Airline employees may unconsciously perceive passengers in red as more important or of higher status, leading to better customer service experiences.

“So if you want to receive top-notch treatment during your travels, consider incorporating red into your airport attire.”

Although it also warns that although red has positive connotations, you shouldn’t force the color on yourself.

He added: “It is important to note that whilst red can have a positive impact on how others perceive you, it is always essential to dress comfortably and appropriately for your trip.

“Try incorporating red details or accessories into your airport outfit to enjoy the psychological benefits this vibrant color offers.”

While red may be the fashion choice, there are some items of clothing that experts recommend not wearing on a plane trip.

The right clothing selection can make all the difference to a person’s comfort during a flight, but many people don’t know this.

Whether it’s the wrong pants or a poor choice of footwear, passengers make simple mistakes that can leave them struggling to fit into their seats, especially on long-haul trips.

That’s why travel experts at Condé Nast Traveler revealed how they “dress strategically” to ensure their clothes don’t prevent them from being comfortable.

Firstly, they recommend not wearing “rigid jeans” on long trips.

Airlines with the best plane food

Korean Air

Korean Air won best airline cuisine at last year’s Global Traveler Awards.

Some of its popular dishes on board include bibimbap, a Korean rice dish, and ssambap, Korean rice and lettuce rolls.

It was also among the 10 airlines with the best airline food at the CN Travelers 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Japan Airlines

In first place at the Reader’s Choice Awards was Japan Airlines.

The airline has partnered with six Michelin-starred chefs, each with three stars – so you can expect it to be good.

Passengers can choose from bento boxes and miso soups on board.

Singapore airlines

Often voted one of the best airlines in the world, it’s no surprise that Singapore Airlines has one of the best in-flight meals.

Chef Dennis Littley said, “Their gourmet meals rival those of earthly restaurants.”

Dishes include porridge, rice porridge, as well as Singaporean rice and curry options.

Old sweatpants are also a no-no, even if they are comfortable.

Instead, passengers should wear leggings and a jacket, or comfortable clothing sets.

The other clothing mistake that passengers regularly make on flights is wearing sneakers or shoes that don’t slip and come off easily.

In particular, lace-up shoes are tricky, especially for people who take their shoes off during flights.

A “lightweight, slip-on shoe” is Conde’s preferred footwear for long-haul flights.

Sun Travel’s resident flight attendant explained exactly how people should dress when traveling at an airport.

They said: “You should avoid belts, jackets with complicated buckles or zippers, and shoes that are difficult to take off.

“You want to get through the gates as quickly as possible, or everyone else in line will be very mad at you.

“Make sure you pack your bag easily too, with electronic items and toiletries on top so they’re easy to remove.

“Passengers will hate you if you spend too much time unpacking and repacking your luggage.”

However, this is the best seat to choose if you want to be comfortable during long-haul flights.

And this is another guide for those who want to know what to wear on long-distance trips.
