A mother doesn’t hesitate to give travel tips, saying that some common mistakes can add up to the bill.
She also gave advice on how to enjoy Universal Orlando while respecting the family budget.
USA Today’s Eva Chen provided must-read travel advice in an article by Yahoo News.
Her advice is clearly golden, as she said she visits Orlando several times a year.
She recommended 10 tips in total for visiting the tourist spot on vacation.
Chen also pointed out three main mistakes people make when visiting Universal Orlando.

JUST SAY NO
Chen outlined what to avoid when taking a trip to the Sunshine State.
First, she recommended reducing excess luggage to make room for more fun.
She warned that some attractions don’t allow bags of certain sizes – leaving park-goers to resort to lockers.
“Previously, I recommended keeping most of your things together to avoid having to empty all your pockets every time. That’s still true, but I want to add a caveat about size,” she said.
“The free lockers aren’t very big. They fit a mini Loungefly-style backpack or an empty popcorn bucket if you squeeze them, but they aren’t big enough for large packed backpacks.
“Keep this in mind unless you want to pay for larger closets.”
TO SWITCH OFF
While Chen focused on money-saving advice, she said that doesn’t mean skimping on snack time.
She recommended purchasing a bucket of popcorn while at Universal Orlando.
“A simple bucket of popcorn costs just over $12, and you can continue to get refills throughout your trip,” she said.
“Refills cost about $2 each, making popcorn one of the cheapest and most shareable snacks on property.
“On our last trip, my family and I got several refills for the price of a pretzel with cheese dip.”
ALIGN
Singles or those who like to walk alone have a thing or two to learn from Chen.
She advised not to ignore the single ride lines in the park.
Your hack could save your visitors a lot of time by giving them more opportunities to explore other offers.
“Many attractions have a single-rider lane,” she said.
“If you’re traveling alone or don’t mind your group being split up, you can save time by using the individual lane if it’s open.
“They are not always offered. It doesn’t guarantee a short wait, but it’s usually shorter.”
