He explained how passengers may not be able to buy food during the flight.

Sean advised bringing non-liquid snacks and an empty water bottle in case there is turbulence.

Although liquid bottles are not permitted, most airports have refillable systems.

“So make sure you fill up that water bottle on the plane in case the turbulence is so severe that we can’t go out and offer you a drink,” he said. CTVNews.ca.

“If you bring snacks on board, you better have it ready so that if we can’t make it or maybe the airline doesn’t offer the service you expected or maybe the flight isn’t long enough to offer you a snack, at least you There’s some backup in your bag.”

Meanwhile, Beth Bourneuf, a former teacher who became a flight attendant in 2020, revealed the real reason why crew greet passengers when they board the aircraft.

She described how the crew will stand at the entrance of the plane for a secret reason.

The goal is to identify able-bodied passengers, also known as ABPs, who can help in an emergency.

“We look to see how many bags people are carrying and we also have to be conscious of the type of bags they are carrying,” Bourneuf said.

“Anyone with a refrigerator needs to ask what’s in there.”

Flight attendant reveals ‘bad’ things passengers do on planes

In a Sun Online Travel blog, we tell you why flight attendants need to evaluate who they think is the strongest on the plane.

The reality of being a flight attendant is that there are many more passengers than there are cabin crew.

And if something bad happens and the crew needs to make an emergency landing, they’ll need some people to help them.

This may mean lifting heavy objects, if for example the cabin is cluttered, or opening the emergency doors, which are also quite heavy.

Everything you need to know before boarding a plane

So if someone asks to see your boarding pass when you get on the plane, they could be marking you as a potentially helpful person should there be a crisis.

The revelation was made as part of a series of flying myths debunked.

Others included the idea that dressing well will give you an upgrade.

Flight attendant Vinia DiGeronimo said: “Airlines have rigid systems for upgrades and flight attendants do not have the authority to hand out seat assignments.

“I know if I updated someone out of order and didn’t follow this [upgrade] list, I would have a lot of problems.”

“There are times when people who actually pay for economy plus call the airline and ask for a refund because they saw people being flown for free,” said Amber, who has been a flight attendant for eight years.
