A flight attendant has revealed the worst type of passengers she was forced to deal with on flights.

Heather said passengers who struggle to get up so they can check in their luggage as quickly as possible are the “worst kind”.

She told CNN: “The worst thing is the passengers who decide to get up and enter the overhead bins full of heavy luggage as soon as the seat belt sign comes on.”

Not only does this put those who do so at risk, but it can also harm those around them if the plane is hit by turbulence.

“Now, instead of just putting themselves at risk, they included whoever was sitting nearby,” she added.

“It is because of this type of behavior that a captain I know rarely turns off the signal.

“He claims he doesn’t always know when it’s going to get agitated and believes it’s too crowded in the hallways to keep him away.”

Ms Poole also expressed her dismay at passengers who ordered a certain type of drink when there was a risk of turbulence.

She said: “Why so many passengers order hot drinks when the weather is rough is beyond me. I won’t go back if the turbulence gets worse.”

Travel tips in the heights: how to fly comfortably

Meanwhile, part-time flight attendant Sean Price revealed why passengers should bring their own food on board.

He said tourists should stock up in case they are unable to buy food during the flight.

Sean also advised bringing non-liquid snacks and an empty water bottle in case there is turbulence.

Although bottles with liquid inside are not allowed through security, most airports have refillable systems.

“So make sure you fill up that water bottle on the plane in case the turbulence is so severe that we can’t go out and offer you a drink,” he said. CTVNews.ca.
