The “best business class” in the world has been revealed with a state-of-the-art suite – which comfortably accommodates up to four passengers.

Qatar Airways has unveiled its Qsuite Next Gen seats, set to give the Boeing 777-9 aircraft a major makeover.

The sleek, ultra-modern compartment is the epitome of luxury.

It has “more space, personalization and comfort than ever before”, with taller, digitally controlled sliding doors for greater privacy.

The suit offers more chances for socializing for passengers traveling together, with two forward-facing and two rear-facing seats.

To help create the ambience, there are three different light settings that make eating, sleeping, talking and reading convenient.

If travelers want to close their eyes, wider beds provide more luxury and, when both seats are fully reclined, they transform into a double bed.

This can be particularly useful for those traveling with younger children, who want to be close to their parents – for comfort and safety.

The state-of-the-art suite also offers more storage space, with secure drawers, while advanced technology allows for wireless charging points.

Meanwhile, the two-leaflet compartments, known as the Companion Suit, offer similar advantages.

The seats feature the same configuration, facing each other with a dividing TV screen in the middle.

I flew the best airline in the world and this is why it definitely lives up to the hype

This can be removed for in-person dinners and general socializing, whether it’s friends planning their first night on vacation or couples excited about their dream vacation.

CEO Eng. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer presented the new Qsuite Next Gen seats alongside the airline’s cabin crew member, Sama.

The innovative suite was first launched in 2017 and is planned to lift aircraft by 2025.

Eng. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer commented on the announcement: “We are thrilled to have finally unveiled the long-awaited Next Gen Qsuite at the Farnborough International Airshow.

“Qatar Airways has once again raised the bar on its award-winning product, Qsuite.

“We look forward to welcoming media and partners to our booth throughout the week to experience the future of business class travel with the World’s Best Business Class on board the World’s Best Airline.”

Qsuite is currently on display in the Qatar Airways Discover Lounge in Hall 1 of the airshow until 26 July.

The best airline in the world

By Kara Godfrey

The world’s best airline for 2024 has been revealed and I was lucky enough to fly with them.

Revealed by the annual Skytrax awards, Qatar Airways knocked Singapore Airlines out of first place.

Winning the award for the 8th time, it also won Best Business Class, Best Business Class Lounge and Best Airline in the Middle East

It was even named the best airline earlier this year by Airlineratings.com, knocking Air New Zealand out of first place.

Qatar Airways Group CEO, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer said: “This is a proud moment for Qatar Airways and it is an honor to share this award with my fellow workers.

“This award is a testament to our tireless dedication to providing unparalleled service and innovation. We look forward to more wins in the future.”

I flew with the airline last year whilst traveling from London to Sri Lanka via Doha.

A highlight for me was the crew – they were extremely helpful and friendly whilst toeing the line and giving you space.

The planes are also clean, unlike other airlines where you are likely to encounter a crispy or sticky table.

I was lucky enough to also experience their award-winning business class, QSuite.

Having flown several other business classes with other airlines, I also understand why it is often considered the best in the world.

One of the highlights was the door that closes, which allows complete privacy.

Other airlines are now replicating this, but Qatar was one of the first to implement it in the airline industry.

Of course, the main attraction is the flat bed, where even I, who have difficulty sleeping on planes, managed to close my eyes.

It was also helped by the light and soft purple Do Not Disturb blanket.

It’s safe to say it’s clear why they keep winning best airline.

It comes as tourists are shown inside the world’s largest private jet.

The ultra-chic Boeing 747, nicknamed the Flying Mansion, comes with a master suite and full bathroom.

And travelers were left in awe after seeing Etihad’s The Residence.

It was dubbed the most expensive plane ticket in the world and has a double bed, shower and even a butler.

Meanwhile, another private jet charter costs £43,000 per hour to charter.

The Crystal Skye is a converted Boeing 777 plane, which now seats 88 lucky passengers – compared to the usual 300-plus passengers.
