The investigation will examine whether the airline adequately took care of its customers during last week’s travel chaos, according to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

“All airline passengers have the right to be treated fairly and I will ensure that this right is respected,” he said in an X publish.

Flyer Sagar Manhas was furious with Delta after his recent travel experience.

“Very disappointed in @Delta!” he wrote in an X publish.

Manhas explained how last week’s travel disruption has affected him.

“72 hours I have no idea where our luggage is,” he wrote.

“We didn’t even get a chance to board the flight.”

Delta was one of the airlines most affected by the Microsoft outage last week.

The company canceled more than 5,500 following the Crowdstrike software collapse on Friday.

Since then, it has struggled to return to full operations as it banned a certain group of airmen from traveling, The US Sun previously reported.

“Those already booked will not be able to travel.”

“Please do not book new travel for unaccompanied minors at this time.”

Delta also canceled 400 flights on Tuesday morning.

Other airlines also suffered major disruption last week, with images of crowded airports and passengers sleeping on boarding bridges circulating around the world.

American Airlines and United also canceled and delayed flights during the technology outage.

In total, 4,700 flights were canceled as of Friday afternoon at the height of the chaos, The US Sun previously reported.

These carriers have since recovered, with most flights operating as planned.

US Sun has reached out to Delta Air Lines for comment.
