A mum has revealed an activity she makes her kids do before flying which often results in free perks.

Esher Zeledón, along with his two sons, are experienced aviators who have visited more than 30 municipalities.

However, the mother of two realized that flight attendants regularly face complaints about things that are beyond their control.

Esher decided to start bringing small gifts to the crew as a way of thanking them for their service.

She was inspired by a trend where passengers with babies give gifts to their seat neighbors on flights.

Initially, just Esher and her husband distributed gifts, but now the whole family is involved.

During the trip, they look for new gifts and make cards to give to the flight attendants.

At home, they keep small gifts, “including bracelets, keychains, stuffed animals, aromatherapy rollers and more.”

Once on board, your children go up to the crew and give them their gifts.

Esher added: “My daughter, now 10, still freezes occasionally when giving gifts as she is super shy.

“That’s when my 8-year-old son stepped in to help. Now we ensure that the children deliver the gifts themselves.”

Winning favor with the crew can lead to advantages on board, according to Esher.

Their children were occasionally invited into the cockpit to talk to the pilot.

The experienced aviator took to TikTok to share some of the responses he received from airline employees.

One flight attendant wrote: “Nobody thinks about us – that means a lot.”

“This gesture is something I will never forget,” added another.

Esher hopes the activity will help her children learn “what it means to be kind, grateful and thoughtful.”

She admitted that they had a privileged upbringing, but they are aware of the importance of what they are doing.
