UNIVERSAL has revealed what to expect from its fifth and final land when its new theme park opens next year.
First announced in 2019, Epic Universe is Universal’s new theme park opening in Florida.
The park will become one of the largest in the country, with five sites spread across the 750-acre resort when it opens in 2025.
The first four have already been revealed – Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon, Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe.
The fifth and final land will have a Harry Potter theme, called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
It will be the third land based on the Wizarding World at Universal’s theme parks.
It follows the success of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure (opened in 2010) and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal
Studios Florida (opened in 2014).
The new land, set primarily in the 1920s, will allow visitors to enter a Muggle Parisian park and travel through Place Cachée, a magical shopping district.
The main attraction is Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry, set in 1990s London.
The first of its kind” technology will allow passengers to travel by Metro-Floo from Paris to the British Ministry of Magic.
The trial of Dolores Umbridge will take place there, from which she tries to escape.
Guests will join Harry, Ron and Hermione having to catch her while dodging Death Eaters along the way.
Also on the grounds will be Le Cirque Arcanus, a large-scale live show theater experience with trapeze artists, special effects and puppets.
The story sees Ringmaster Skender, who stole Newt Scamander’s suitcase, trying to bring the circus back to life with the creatures inside.
Along with attractions, there will also be shops and restaurants.
The wands can be purchased either at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique, or they can be used in certain locations to interact with the fantastic beasts.
Along the way, characters to be encountered include visitors, authorities and residents of the wizarding world, exchange students from Hogwarts and Ilvermorny. Schools of Witchcraft and Magic, as well as talking portraits of wizards.
For places to eat and drink, there’s Café L’Air De La Sirène which serves French sandwiches and desserts, as well as Le Gobelet Noir for “international dark wizards and wizards”, which will have soups, salads and starters.
Otherwise, drinks can be found at the Moonshine Bar for beers, wines and signature cocktails, or a butterbeer at the Bièraubeurre Cart.
And souvenirs like sweets and Ministry of Magic merchandise can be found at Les Galeries Mirifiques, K. Rammelle, and Tour En Floo.
An official opening date of 2025 has not yet been announced, along with ticket prices.

Celestial Park
The park’s central land will be Celestial Park, with ‘portals’ to all other lands.
The main attraction will be the 62 mph dual-launch Starfall Racers rollercoaster, with other attractions including the Constellation Carousel and the Astronomica wet play area.
Dining options include the pan-Asian restaurant Blue Dragon, the Victorian-themed Atlantic and The Oak & Star Tavern, as well as Pizza Moon for snacks.
The main hotel is also in the Celestial park – the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, with 500 rooms.
How to Train Your Dragon
Set on the Isle of Berk, How to Train Your Dragon’s four land rides include the Hiccup’s Wing Gliders family roller coaster and the Fyre Drill water cannon ride.
Other tours include Dragon Racer’s Rally, Biking Training Camp and The Untrainable Dragon live show.
Character meet and greets and themed restaurants and bars will also be on site.
Super Nintendo World
Entering through the iconic green tube the main ride at Super Nintendo World will be the AR racing ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge
Another ride will be Yoshi’s Adventure, collecting eggs along the way.
Characters including MarioLuigi and Princess Peach can be found along the way, along with themed foods at Toadstool Cafe, Yoshi’s Snack Island, and Turbo Boost Treats.
Dark Universe
Set around Frankenstein Manor, the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment dark ride will be Universal’s “most terrifying yet” in the land of the Dark Universe.
Use these tips on your next theme park trip
The next time you visit a theme park, you might want to use our tips to make the most of your adrenaline-filled day.
- Go to the back of the theme park first. The rides at the front will have the longest lines once they open.
- Take water rides in the middle of the day in summer – this will cool you down when the sun is at its hottest.
- Download the park app to find out which attractions have the shortest lines.
- Visit on your birthday, as some parks give out “birthday badges” that can earn you gifts.
- If it rains, contact the park. Depending on how much it rained, you might be able to get a free ticket to return.
Another ride is Curse of the Werewolf, a rotating family roller coaster, while scary creatures can be spotted throughout the land, such as The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Dracula’s Brides.
Another unique experience will be the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, featuring face painting and temporary makeup. tattoos to turn children into monsters.
