A TRIP to the amusement park doesn’t have to break the bank, and you won’t have to skimp on the thrill rides either.
Tropic Falls at OWAin Foley, Alabama, named the country’s most accessible theme park in 2022 by home rental company HomeToGo.
OWA, a 520-acre park built on the Gulf Coast, offers views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Last year, the amusement park once again topped the list, coming in third place in terms of affordability.
The theme park includes a diverse range of 23 family-friendly and thrilling attractions.
Highlights include the Air Racer, which straps pilots to a hang glider and takes them through the air with acrobatic maneuvers.
The Crazy Mouse roller coaster features up to four racing tracks.
Tropic Falls also has an indoor water park with parallel slides, a lazy river and even a surfing simulator.
The park’s newest addition, the Big Water Bay outdoor wave pool, offers guests an expansive swimming experience across 30,000 square feet.
Surf or relax, the outdoor area is complete with a giant screen, plenty of seating, and private cabana rentals.
Foodies can stop by the amusement park’s dining area, which offers a variety of options from ice cream to alcoholic drinks and sushi.
Hungry diners can visit Groovy Goat, with a menu of soups, salads, steaks and seafood.
Those craving a quick bite can stop by Baja Grill for traditional theme park fare, including nachos, tacos, burgers, pretzel snacks and more.
The park revamped its entertainment offerings in 2019 with the debut of the 430-seat OWA Theater, which regularly hosts tribute bands from Bruno Mars, Reba and Whitney Houston.
HomeToGo’s methodology included analysis of 44 parks in 21 states and three countries.
The company explained that the data taken into account included entry, parking and accommodation costs per person per day.
Tropic Falls at OWA was highlighted as the cheapest park to stay overnight, which includes the cost of tickets and parking.
A one-night stay for one person cost just over $95.
This year, Frontier City, Oklahoma topped HomeToGo’s affordability rankings, with OWA in fourth place.
Guests can save more on general admission tickets if they choose to enter the park after 4pm with a Twilight ticket, starting at $54.99.
Groups of four can also take advantage of the park’s Family Four Pack, which gives them four discounted tickets.
General admission tickets to Tropic Falls at OWA starts at $74.99 per person.
